Each year, the Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport (BMWKMS), together with the Austrian Publishers and Booksellers Association (HVB), honors outstanding book designs with the award “The Most Beautiful Books of Austria/Die schönsten Bücher Österreichs.” An expert jury selects 15 titles that set the benchmark for excellence in design and production.
For the 2024 edition, we’re proud to see 7 of the 15 awarded books brought to life on Arctic paper, a strong confirmation of the paper’s exceptional quality, tactility, and reliability for demanding design projects. The books are assessed on technical craftsmanship as well as conceptual and visual excellence by a jury of qualified experts from the fields of printing, bookbinding, typesetting, design, publishing, bookselling, and media, making this recognition particularly meaningful.
